    The Aghush program is designed to provide all basic health facilities to pregnant and lactating women. The program provides cash grants to pregnant women and their babies to provide them with easy access to healthcare services and facilities from the beginning of pregnancy until the birth of the baby.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The special program for pregnant and lactating women by the government of Punjab is the Aghosh program. Eligibility criteria in the Aghosh program have been kept very easy and simple. Those who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria will get the assistance.

    • Only pregnant and lactating women can be eligible for this program.
    • Those pregnant women who belong to the designated 12 districts of Punjab can only get eligibility in this program.

    حکومت پنجاب نے ماؤں اور بچوں کی بہتر صحت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے آغوش پروگرام شروع کیا ہے۔ یہ پروگرام پورے صوبے میں خصوصاً 11 منتخب اضلاع راجن پور، رحیم یار خان، میانوالی، ڈیرہ غازی خان، بھکر، مظفر گڑھ، بہاولپور، خوشاب، لیہ، بہاولنگر اور لودھراں میں چل رہا ہے۔ اس پروگرام کا مقصد ان تمام اضلاع میں تقریباً پانچ لاکھ 64 ہزار خاندانوں کی حاملہ اور دودھ پلانے والی خواتین کو 17 ہزار روپے تک کی مالی امداد فراہم کرنا ہے۔ تاکہ کچی آبادیوں میں رہنے والے مستحق افراد اچھی صحت کے بنیادی حقوق سے محروم نہ رہیں۔
